In a fast-paced adventure tale with interesting characters and snappy teen dialogue, Cassie Greutman has crafted a remarkably compelling coming-of-age story. Her main character—a faerie teen in a human world—is a strong and resourceful heroine who is also sensitive and sympathetic. Undergirded by the protagonist’s solid sense of right and wrong, the novel explores hard challenges and difficult dilemmas in a thought-provoking manner. Particularly refreshing was the unconditional love found within the main character’s foster family, and the important role that played in her life. Highly recommended!
